Our donations to San Marino USD, Friendship Baptist Church and Childrens Hospital LA!

TRI Products, Inc. is always trying to help the community in any possible way. We create local jobs, provide environmental educational programs, raise funds for local businesses, hospitals and schools. Our recent donation to the San Marino USD came handy!

Gary W. Woods, the superintendent of San Marino Unified School District, thanks TRI for the recent donation in his letter.

"Thank you for the $1,296.10 donation to be used at San Marino USD. This was a generous gift and donations like this make it possible for the District to improve educational materials and provide opportunities for our students. Your contribution will be recognized by the Board of Education at their January 11, 2011 Board Meeting.

The San Marino USD is fortunate to be in a community where so many individuals value our children's education. It is because of your generosity that we may provide our students with more opportunities and learning experience. We truly appreciate all you do for our students, parents and staff in our school district."

In order to help Childrens Hospital LA, TRI donated $1,005.05. On behalf of the children from Southern California and around the world who receive specialized life-saving care here each year, thank you for your gift to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles!, the CHLA representative said.

Other donations that have been made in 2010:

  • Friendship Baptist Church - $1,002.60
  • Calvary Chapel Golden Springs - $1,467.20
  • Church of The Open Door - $493.45

Thank you guys! We were happy to help and we are looking forward to our continuous collaboration in the New Year of 2011!

How we recycle e-waste at TRI

We start processing your scrap immediately after we receive it!

All computers are shredded. And this means that we manually take apart all computers and generate several piles of different recyclable/reusable parts: plastic, metal, motherboards, hard drives, memory, floppy drives, wire, and miscellaneous.

We do reuse some of the computer parts if they are still in good condition.

All hard drives get our special attention in order to protect your privacy. Our WipeMASSter machine erases sensitive data in seven passes which is a DoD (Department of Defense) requirement.  And you can really trust us on this one - we recycle hard drives for ICE, FBI, IRS, GSA, Social Security, Schools, and Community Services.

All parts that are not reusable are sold for pennies a pound. We sell these materials in the States to different manufactures representatives. Companies in the US, Europe and China then use our scrap to make new products. Nothing gets dumped into rives or the landfills.

Recycling of electronics is essential for the renewable and sustainable manufacturing.

So next time you buy a new IPhone just think that there is a big chance it was made out of your old computer! And we almost forgot to mention – all electronic waste has to be recycled by state law. We want California to be green and environmentally healthy.

The City Of Montclair E-Waste Collection

Since August 2009 The City of Montclair has enlisted the services of TRI
Products, Inc.
to collect and recycle Electronic Waste from the businesses
and residents of Montclair.

The service is rendered free of charge, and actually returns to the city a
small donation
for every pound of waste recycled.

The waste that is being collected all properly recycled under State of
California's own guidelines. And the very first batch represented almost four tons of Electronic Waste!

According to the EPA report, there is Electronic Waste being disposed of
illegally every day
. Some in landfills, much of just dumped by the side of
a road or out in an uninhabited area. This is a danger to our air and water,
because there is up to eight pounds of hazardous waste in every P.C.!

The response from the residents and businesses in Montclair has steadily
, and the program has been labeled as a
success by the participants.

Future generations won't have to worry about tons of toxic material that could be found in their water supply someday.

Federal Goverment recycles e-waste with TRI!

On the 13th of January 2010 TRI had the pleasure of servicing our Federal Government.

Departments included:

  • ICE
  • FBI
  • IRS
  • GSA
  • Social Security and Community Services.

TRI recovered almost 4,500 Lbs! It looks as though we are to be regular visitors to the facility, as we are currently proposing a regular collection schedule for this as well as the other Federal Buildings in Southern California.

This also speaks volumes for TRI, with security at the top of everyone's agenda the Feds chose TRI as their ewaste recycler of choice.

So hats off to our Federal Government for the leadership it is showing in this area. We think the picture speaks for itself!
